Amazing Location you can walk to all the main attractions - right next to a metro stop. Small boutique hotel thus space is always at a premium but contained everything we wanted, so for example not having coffee facilities in your room due to limited space you could get coffee in the reception area and take to your room Free bottled water & mini bar in room all replenished free which makes a change Incredibly helpful staff

The hotel's customer service is excellent! Staff are super friendly. There is a complimentary walk tour provided by one of the staff in their other hotel chain and the walking tour is led by Pedro Falcao who had great historical knowledge and tips for tourists. We got to see some of the churches, Santa Justa Lift, Rua Agusta Arch, Praca do Comercio, Praca da Figuera etc. We even got free gifts for doing the tour! We were welcomed with a free mini white wine and Pastel De Natas in our room. A lot of complimentary things such as drinks on the small fridge in the room, and waters. There's also a lot of water bottle by reception area, and choice of juices. There's also a complimentary coffee machine by reception and mini pastel de natas. If you want a kettle in your room, ask the receptionist. They also provided free sparkling wine for my parents in their room who was celebrating their birthday and anniversary. Location is great, very central near shops and restaurants and within walking distance to place of interests. Bed was very comfortable. Space is not that much but it is manageable. City view isn't what I thought it would be, it's basically next door neighbour but better than just plain white wall. Due to their service and great location, I would certainly stay here again!

The staff was helpful with everything we needed. The mattress, pillow, sheets etc were all comfy, and the bathroom was clean. We enjoyed the fresh pastel de natas and the champagne which is available for free in the entrance for all day/night. The location is perfect if you want to be close to the town centre. Metro stop is just in front of the hotel if you’d like to go to Shopping centres etc. No comment on the breakfast as we wanted to eat outside and try different places.

Restaurant/places to eat in Blue Liberdade Hotel

Blue Liberdade is a wonderful fully modernized hotel from the 1700s. The facade is classic. The interior is modern. Once inside the narrow corridor is the only clue to its age. Parking was initially a challenge. Telpark has a massive garage under the plaza in front of the hotel. Who knew until hotel staff told us? (Park in the red zone on level 2 down then just walk up to the hotel. Easy.) All the hotel staff were wonderful throughout our stay. They even upgraded us. The room was beautiful. Lots of nearby great restaurants around the corner. Everyone speaks English and is friendly. Walking to the water and back was a joy with many markets and plazas on the way. We would have made it to the Castle had it rained less (but it was early March).

First, the hotel's location could not be better for sightseeing in Lisbon. The Restauradores metro stop is right outside the hotel. Across the street is the train station allowing you to venture further outside the city. Up the street from the hotel is world-class shopping with high-end shops like Gucci. There is also a plethora of restaurants and cafes within walking distance. The area around the hotel was very safe, as is much of Lisbon. That said, the location could not be beat. Second, the hotel staff were absolutely amazing. Everyone we encountered in the hotel made us feel welcome and always made themselves available to answer any questions. The room was very spacious for European standards. It had a double bed, which was two twin beds side-by-side. Each bed had sheets, making it perfect for traveling with family or friends. The bathroom was also adequately sized for a large shower and single vanity. The amenities and finishings were simple yet modern. There was plenty of space for luggage and the room also had a small sofa. Third, one of the most popular seafood restaurants in the city is attached to the hotel. There was a line daily for lunch and dinner, but the hotel has a special relationship with the restaurant and can always secure dinner reservations at 7:00 or 7:30 for hotel guests. I understand why the hotel may be rated 3-stars. It is smaller and does not offer the same level of luxury and extra services as a 5-star hotel should. However, do not let that deter you from staying here. This is the best 3-star hotel I've ever stayed in and I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend this hotel to anyone I know traveling to Lisbon!!

Blue Liberdade gave us everything we needed (and more) for our Lisbon trip. It was an incredibly clean room (we are both neat freaks so you can take our word for it) and the room service ensured the cleanliness and comfort continued throughout our trip. Our main worry with Lisbon accommodation was potential noise pollution within our room. However our room was very silent and comfortable to sleep in, despite facing a busy city view. But what really shines for Blue Liberdade is an amazing staff and location. The location is at the center of everything you want to see in Lisbon. For the attractions that are not walkable you have the public transport (metro, tram, bus) very close by and the transport tickets are conveniently sold at the reception desk. We cannot begin to describe how helpful staff is at Blue Liberdade. Not only they upgraded our room when we got there for NO COST at all. But they helped us through all our questions, tried to find best solutions for our problems and even helped us purchase our train tickets to Porto. Mind you, due to some problems the train tickets took almost half an hour to be purchased and during the time a lovely staff just sat through with us and helped in every step. There is complementary pateis de nata and good coffee at the reception (a savior when you don’t have time for breakfast) and some drinks at the minibar which are free as well. We even got a mini Portuguese wine! What’s more to ask?

Breakfast in Blue Liberdade Hotel

The location of the hotel with respect to the city centre, metro station, taxi rank, local facilities etc was superb. Despite the hotel being on a relative major road (but well set back from it) and with the room being at the front and with a restaurant 2 floors below, we were pleasantly surprised that there was no disturbance from traffic or people. The room was lovely with quite a large bathroom with a great shower and its own french windows out to the front, The bed was super comfy, great pillows, good lighting options and the complimentary water and free soft drinks minibar is a nice touch. Everything seems very new and was spotlessly clean. Reception staff were super friendly and helpful and the free fizz, juices, coffee and Pastel de Natas were much appreciated! We chose not to take the breakfast option at the hotel but only because we prefer to have brunch/lunch. By the way, the restaurant outside (a separate business) seems really popular and food looked amazing - one of only a few places where locals queue to get a table.

Great location walking distance to much of Lisbon. The room was very small with limited storage but well appointed with a comfortable mattress. Even though we faced the busy street the shutters kept things quiet and dark for much needed sleep after walking the hills of Lisbon all day. Staff were friendly especially the gentlemen seating for breakfast. Breakfast was good with an amazing coffee machine. Complimentary bottled water and beverages (even pastels) in the lobby was a nice added bonus. Another bonus…If you are doing any day tours pick up is a 2 minute walk down the street.

The hotel was beyond expectations. The location is perfect to visit Lisbon on foot. It's close to all the main attractions and the hop on hop off bus. There are a lot of shops around and restaurants (also recommend the one at the entrance of the hotel). The room is a little small (normal in Europe) but the bathroom makes up for it. The hair dryer and straightener were a +++ They offer a diverse and delicious breakfast and have a cute and free coffee/wine/water corner at the hotel reception. The staff were very welcoming and helpful whenever we had questions.

I am so glad we booked this hotel! Blue Liberdade is a lovely hotel right off one of the popular squares in the city, yet it felt intimate and quiet. The hotel staff were attentive and friendly, and they had our room ready for an early check-in. Our room was clean and comfortable with amazing views of the square. The hotel offers an outstanding full breakfast and there is also complimentary espresso, water, wine, and pastry in the lobby for guests 24/7. We even received a small bottle of port wine the evening of our arrival - which was a very nice touch! I felt like every staff member went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when in Lisbon!
